Nick and I first met in the spring of 2022 while playing in the YMCA Adult Softball League. We had been on the same team for a couple seasons, but had yet to really talk.

After the last game of the summer season (July 18 to be exact) some of the team went out to local hangout, Potts' Sports Bar. I was debating going out (case of the Mondays) and as I was walking to my car, with my family in tow, Nick asked if he'd see me there. I shrugged and he joked that he'd save a chip for me (IYKYK). My 7 year old niece (aka flower girl) then proceeded to blurt out "Aunt Tine he likes you!"

Though thoroughly embarrassed, I decided to head over to Potts for an end of season night cap. As we're all hanging out, the song "Runaway" by Kanye West comes on. Nick and I catch each other "vibing" to the song and from then on sparked each other's interest, or at least his:). Later on as I was saying my goodbyes to the team, I kept thinking I hope I hear from him.

Well, by 8am the next morning Nick was in my Facebook DM's and as the saying goes, 'the rest is history' :)
